MY EXPERIENCE JOURNAL
In March 2020, as part of the Coronavirus health campaign, it was announced we should always wash our hands for twenty seconds with hot water and soap as this could be a preventative measure to prevent getting the virus. Twenty seconds may appear long, but we can be mindful for the entire time: as I stand at the basin, I am feeling my connection with the floor. As I turn the tap, I fill the hot water flow and as I lather the soap in my hands, I am connecting with who I am and reminded of The Now. The smell of my soap; observing the handwashing and drying of hands is placing my thought processes into a mindful thought process. Next time you wash your hands, do it for twenty seconds and remain in the present. If your mind wanders remind yourself of your feet and their connection to the ground and the greater world. By washing your hands you are supporting your physical health as well as your mental wellbeing.

Anxiety and stress is a mental process, and to some extent a cognitive procedure, which when handled appropriately will help you deal with some situations well.
